# Saudi Cargo to Launch Operations in the Australian Market

Saudi Cargo has announced its entry into the Australian market. The move to establish a direct cargo corridor is a major step in deepening trade relations between Australia and Saudi Arabia.

The announcement follows a series of high-level meetings between the Australian ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Australian Trade and Investment Commissioner, and the CEO of Saudia Cargo. Talks have been underway to strengthen bilateral economic ties.

Direct cargo connectivity will eliminate the reliance on third-country trans-shipments, improving efficiency, cost structures, and resilience of supply chains. The direct corridor gives access to Saudi Arabia’s status as a stable global logistics hub and entry into the largest market in the GCC.

With faster and more reliable logistics pathways, the corridor presents new commercial opportunities and supports long-term trade expansion. Saudi Arabia will offer strong growth opportunities for Australian industries across sectors such as agriculture, food, pharmaceuticals, and manufacturing.
